Tenuta di Tavignano introduces the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva 'Misco', an expression of sublime charm with a taste that is both rich and slender. This is one of the winery's flagship labels, produced from a selection of the best grapes from the prized Misco vineyard, an appellation derived from the river of the same name towards which the rows slope. This Verdicchio harmoniously condenses the style of Tenuta di Tavignano, the vocation of its best vineyard and the extraordinary oenological potential of Verdicchio. Maturation exclusively in steel is then aimed at enhancing the attributes of the terroir.

Tenuta di Tavignano's Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva 'Misco' is a 100% Verdicchio grown organically on hilly clayey-calcareous soils with southeastern exposure. The grapes are harvested in several stages, selecting the ripest bunches each time, which are then transferred to the cellar for alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Maturation lasts one year and always takes place in stainless steel on the fine lees, without batonnage, followed by at least 18 months of further bottle ageing before release.

In the glass, the 'Misco' Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva Tenuta di Tavignano expresses a brilliant and intense straw yellow colour. The olfactory texture recalls generous and complex sensations of ripe yellow fruit, citrus peel, acacia flower, broom, honey, star anise and sweet almond. Full-bodied, round and full-bodied on the palate, where the pleasant freshness coexists with the incisive sapid trail in an elegant development of great personality, with a persistent mineral finish.
