The "Pietrabianca" Chardonnay from the Tormaresca estate is a white wine with an intense, rich and sunny face, born in the beautiful and generous land of Salento, where Antinori owns a large property. It is a version of Chardonnay that combines the fruity ripeness of the Mediterranean climate with winemaking inspired by the Burgundian model, using new oak barrels. The wood enhances the bouquet making the taste experience particularly rich and intense. It is a well-structured white, suitable for pairing with important seafood menus or with white meats.
"Pietrabianca" is a Chardonnay from Antinori's Tormaresca estate, one of the many properties of this historic Tuscan winery, which has contributed to the rebirth and enhancement of Italian wines around the world. The Chardonnay and Fiano vineyards are located in the heart of Salento, within the Masseria Maìme estate. This is a vast estate of more than 500 hectares, 350 of which are dedicated to viticulture and the rest to olive groves, pine forests and woods, which is located in the first hinterland of the Adriatic coast, near the village of San Pietro Vernotico, in the province of Brindisi. At the end of the harvest, the best clusters are softly pressed, and the must is started for fermentation in new oak barrels. The wine always ages in wood for several months before being bottled.
The "Pietrabianca" Chardonnay wine from Antinori's Tormaresca estate in Puglia is a pleasantly fruity white characterized by good aromatic intensity, expressing the fruit ripeness typical of the south and the clear fragrance of the marine environment. Pale straw yellow in colour with luminous reflections, it gives a bouquet connoted by aromas of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, pineapple, peach, floral scents, citrusy hints and nuances of aromatic herbs of the Mediterranean scrub. Soft and creamy on entry to the palate, it conquers with a broad and satisfying sip, characterized by dense fruit, notes of vanilla, spices and citrus honey, anticipating a long and fresh closure.
